Name Dropper

Name Dropper
Since I have been so into blogging lately, it is ingrained in me to jump the moment a whimsical or smart blog name pops to mind.

I race to my computer to claim the site and 9 times out of 10, it's taken. What gets me though, are the great names that are hanging around in vein.

Dust off t
he cobwebs and fulfill their journal destiny or release them into space for us active venturers to put them to good work!

Here are 4 that struck me in the last couple hours alone while I was drafting up my previous post, Why I joined PayPerPost. I came to the last line of my draft, . . . .to blog about and it hit me, Aha! BlogAbout is a great name! It's taken, even blog-about is taken. The last entry in blogabout was February 2008, ok, not too terribly long ago. But here are some others that are aching for a spanking.

Writerbynature, last post October 2006. This popped into my head while I was on the toilet. Don't ask me to explain the method to my madness. It maddens
even me sometimes. The wheels rarely stop spinning and I awake exhausted a lot. I am even cursed(or blessed) by very vivid dreams that I should, blog about.

Anyway, there I was, on the throne and the whiff of dog urine disturbed me. My dog will sometimes wizz on the bathroom matt. He's a clever doggy.
We got him from the pound. I never trained him to do this. Perhaps he can smell the odoriferous quality of that particular room. Nonetheless, no matter how wonderful my genius the wonder dog Petey is, in that piss-whiffy moment I thought, "Naughty Peter." Then my mind wandered, 'naughty by nature . . . . aha writerbynature.'! As soon as I was, uh-um, done, I typed it in and it was claimed. Give it up already, you user. (jk w/a smile :-)

The next couple I checked were simply enter, and writeaway. Enter, what was I thinking? Of course it's gone. What a great blog name, but tell me why the last post was February 2005?
Can you feel the frustration? Writeaway's last post was December 2001.

O.k, I vent, I feel better. This post serves two purposes. I get to ramble and write and feel better. And one of the guidelines in order to be paid by payperpost is that my post before and after any payperpost must be nonppp. That's ok by me, I plan to write a lot and post a lot.

I read
about flipping blogs and websites, and that is one of my goals too. By the way, I found the accompanying headline photo when I googled 'dead blog' and it is actually from a Dead Blog, neuralslave and the post even declares, "Warning, you stepped a dead blog!"

Some of these names that are darn near lifeless, if not dead,  Let my BlogName Go.

Flipping Out

Flipping Out
OK, I'm on a video kick for a bit. Here's a couple of bits I love
all rolled into one neat packet of soupmix. Flipping Out and The Soup.

Jeff Lewis on Flipping Out is a complete nutbag on a stick, but I LOVE him! And Joel McHale has brilliant comedic delivery. Well, with such material run rampant all over American airwaves today, who could go wrong?

Apparently the girl at the coffee shop that can't get the temperature accurate for Jeff Lewis' coffee!

Funny Guy Mitch Fatel

Funny Guy Mitch Fatel

I made a link in the previous article to Mitch Fatel,
but that is not enough. I am so loving this funny guy, he needs a feature . . . . oh, and yes, if you noticed the time, I am still sitting at my pc. I just had to fix the stumble badge and I was listening to Mitch Fatel while I was working and couldn't resist posting an embed vid.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!

And now, for your viewing pleasure . . . .

Brain Break

Brain Break
Why does this guy come up when I type 'brain break' in google images?
I guess he's the p.c. police coming to arrest me for neglecting my chores.

I know he's from Reno 911. My daughter loves that show, but I just don't get it. For a good laugh, I like Chelsey Lately, SNL, Kathy Griffin, Mitch Fatel and I'll think of more later. My brain r e e e e a l l y needs a break from this box. Yet another day working on tweeks and tricks from various blogs of help like problogger.com.

Enough of a step forward I can get up and enjoy the rest of this beautiful day; and that's saying a lot for me, because usually I get such a hair up my butt that I cannot pull myself away until I have a particular project nailed. Today's quest was working on my post footers . . . .the diggs, bookmarks & stumbles, etc. Still needs aligning and polish, but uhg - I'm busting outta here and going to the beach luau with my daughter and the dog! I'll bring back some video footage and pics.

Ron Goldman Foundation for Justice

Ron Goldman Foundation for Justice
Yesterday on the Dr. Phil show, Ron Goldman's father and sister, Kim and Fred Goldman, were guests, along with ghost writer Pablo Fenjves. The book, "If I did it", is believed to be the real confession of 'The killer.'

The original book was pulled only after much criticism from people across countless communities expressed outrage over the sordid, sick and brutally unfair attempt for the killer to gain monetarily off his murderous deeds that fateful night.

Not only the thought of him profiting from this book, but the arrogance of writing such a book and professing it as hypothetical is tantamount to another stab to the victims and their families by the killer.
Eventually, the Goldman family was awarded publishing rights to the book and wanted to release it. Simply summed, the Goldmans chose to release the book to 1.)finally gather some of what was rightfully awarded them via the wrongful death civil suit and 2.)in their words, to show the actual wife beater and killer that O.J. Simpson really is.

Some still see it as blood money, but I understand both sides. Both sides of the victim's families that is. I don't understand any side whatsoever of the killer.

There are a few times throughout the show, that Kim Goldman only addresses O.J. as 'The killer'. Her point is clear after she clearly will only refer to him that way. It is not discussed, but I feel it is her way of not giving any human dignity by attaching a given name to the killer that literally got away with murder.

I have not read this book. It is said, the book goes into some precise detail of the crime scene; such intimacy that only the real killer would know. Not all of the 'facts' or confession were written into the book. O.J. had final write off on the original manuscript and owned the recorded tapes of the interviews between he and ghost writer Pablo Fenjves, and the tapes have since been destroyed. I would almost be willing to bet that a copy of the audio exists, if perhaps only by O.J. to hear his own voice over and over.

Pablo Fenjves states on the Dr. Phil show some of the details that were discussed, but that ultimately O.J. would not allow to go into print. For example, at one point O.J. mentions that when the pet Akita dog approaches Ron Goldman, the dog wagged it's tail. That is such an odd, minute and intimate detail to recall from one's mind of someone that supposedly was not there, or found 'not guilty' by a court of law by a jury of his peers. In psychological analysis by Dr. Phil, (and simple deduction of laymen), it is ridiculously clear the slips and dodges of back and forth between telling a story for profit and releasing the tormented images of his sick mind. Some might compare his style of back and forth, charm and menace, public facade and private vile to that of a sociopath.

Ironically, now, the killer may be spending the rest of his life in jail anyway and due to an entirely unrelated crime. Or is it entirely unrelated? Kim Goldman states on the show that some part of her wishes that by her family not ever letting up, by going after him every step of the way, every way they legally can, that she hopes somehow they have gotten him, are breaking him down. Pablo Fenjves immediately responds to that with his added viewpoint. He almost outright assures Kim that it is precisely the fierce determination and victory of the the Goldman family laying pressure upon the killer, winning the book away from O.J., that has left him crumbling apart at the seams. The camera now directly on Kim's face and in response to Pablo's insight, first a glowing fleeting glimpse of astonishment, then a satisfied awkward grin.

The crumbling away of O.J. is why he is driven by arrogance and stupidity to commit another crime; he is losing it alright. (Breaking into a hotel room armed and with thugs and attempted kidnapping over some supposed stolen property of O.J. Simpson) I guess, once you get away with murder, you can do anything.

The best part of the show was a mood-lightening comment by Fred Goldman. He wishes for a very tiny cell, maybe 4' x 6'tall, very narrow where the killer can only stand there with a tiny little window overlooking a golf course. (laughter on the show)

The Ron Goldman Foundation for Justice wishes to empower, inspire, motivate and assist those people that are victims of crime. Their mission is to positively impact the lives of these survivors who start each day with pain, grief, trauma and injustice.

Every minute of every day, a violent crime occurs in this country. Over the past year, approximately 17,520 people were murdered. That’s two people every hour. Last year, there were more than 300,000 rapes reported. That’s 34 rapes per hour. This past year, there were also more than 300,000 reported sexual assaults on children. Again that’s more than 34 per hour. We can’t even begin to imagine how many are not reported...
